JOS SCHEPENS , born in 1961, was awarded an engineering degree in Computer Sciences in 1984 at the K.U. Leuven, Belgium.

He was very active in the domain of databases and digital information distribution. He made a substantial contribution to the success of INFOTRADE N.V. and brought with his team a level of professionalism, dynamism and knowledge to the Belgian online scene.

Since February 1991 he was in the process of building a network of businesses from his new base in Darmstadt, Germany, as Managing Director of the joint-venture company HOPPENSTEDT - BONNIER INFORMATION SERVICES.

JOS was above all a man of integrity, loyalty and intellectual honesty. If something wasn’t right, it didn’t get done; if it was, it did, regardless of the obstacles. At the age of 31 he suddenly died. By his untimely death, the information industry has been robbed of a leading figure.

In JOS SCHEPENS' memory, a Fund has been created . The Fund is a non-profit association registred in Belgium under number 13009/93.
